The clouds continued to linger even after the rains had stopped, leading the two young men to think they might want to find some sort of shelter. Tom led the way with a confident stride, while Abraxas trailed far behind.
Eventually they spotted a crumbling old barn with an ancient windmill that didn't look as if was able to turn anymore. Tom's hope of finding food diminished as they drew nearer.
"I doubt anyone has been here in years," said Abraxas with a dismal sigh. "I think we may be in Muggle territory."
"Yes, I believe so," Tom agreed. "There's a decided lack of magic here."

Tom realized he was practically sleeping on his feet just about the same time he stumbled and crashed into the cave wall. Abraxas automatically reached out and steadied him, earning an annoyed glare for his reward.
"If we don't get out of here soon, Tom, I don't want to even think about the consequences," Abraxas said. "My mind is so tired of fighting off this Horcrux, I can't even think straight anymore."

"Tom, please, we've been walking for hours," said Abraxas tiredly. "I'm beginning to think this was a very bad idea."
"Keep concentrating," Tom insisted. "I don't think I can do this without your help."
